Looking Up Dresses is a 35mm twelve minute film. It was shot in three days from May 16-18 of 2007 in downtown Santa Barbara, CA on film donated by Kodak from the Flags of Our Fathers film shoot.

The camera package was provided by Panavision through their New Filmmaker Program.

The film was funded by the generosity and vision of Bob and Lou Wade and was only made possible due to the generous contributions of time, effort, and resources from members of the Santa Barbara community. Local establishments pitched in for the production including Coffee Cat, Sojourners, Taffy’s Pizza, and Debbie’s Delights. Numerous locals made up the extras and behind the scenes support.

Approximately 40 students attending the Multimedia Arts and Design Academy at Santa Barbara High School were on set all three days for this educational opportunity working as interns. The parents of these students helped out immensely, coordinating the students as well as providing lunch meals for the whole crew.
